Professor Wu Lingfen

Professor Wu Lingfen is the professor of Conducting Department of China Conservatory of Music, the director of the Art Instruction Committee of China Chorus Association, Expert of the Art Education Committee of Ministry of Education of China, the conductor of the choir of National Centre for the Performing Arts, and the president of the jury of the 9th World Peace Choral Festival.
Professor Wu Lingfen went to The Former Soviet Union to study in early 1980. She majored in Opera and Symphony Conductor. She conducted the opera "The Lady of the Camellias" in public. When she is near 40 years old, she began to devote herself to the study of choral art, later she worked in China Conservatory of Music and set up the choral conducting department there. She is famous for her rigorous attitude of study and novel teaching methods in world music education. For many years, she has cultivated many excellent young conductors and she is active in the stages at home and abroad. In 2011, she built "Professor Wu Lingfen Choral Studio" and got "Special Contribution Award of Art Teaching" by Beijing Education Bureau.
