Kaisa:

This was a trip I'll never forget. This was an absolutely amazing trip. I got so many nice friends. I miss them already. Also, the conductors were brillant. I got along with our concertmaster Andy. He was very smart and he played games with us. We loved him very much. The World Peace Choir's conductor Gerald Wirth was also very friendly and kind.

I liked the repertoire as well. My favourite songs were: "Come again", "We dream together", "Haq Ali",  "Namo, namo Maria" and "Hoja, Ho!". The spectators were very amused and this impelled and motivated us. I wonder why the Estonian folk song ("The crow is a prankster") was so funny for all those people. The song was conducted by our conductor Lii and she put up a good show on the stages. She did some voice training with the whole choir before the concerts as well.

I pretty liked the organizer of the tour. I'm grateful to people who actually wanted us to visit the Great Wall and other sightseeings. Even if I wasn't so pleased with all those photographing moments. Afterwards, I think it wasn't so uncomfortable. I think it is the life of an artist. I actually loved to give an interview to Chinese people. They were so interested because the Europeans were in China. It was lovely of them to greet us with open arms. Also, I liked the exhibition games. The Chinese children were so cute. I want to go back to China!!!

Susanna:

Last August I was singing with World Peace Choir in China. This very memorable event took place thanks to the organizers in China. The Chinese people were very kind.

World Peace Choir is a project where the singers from all over the world come together to sing, to sing for a better future. This sentence is also motto for World Peace Choir. I think this project has a very cute concept – there are a lot of wars and other conflicts in the world now, but singing and music unites us all.

This year's choir had members from Australia, Austria, India, Estonia and Malaysia. I got here many friends and memories. World Peace Choir visited different cities around the China. We traveled by bus and by plane thanks to our supporters. We visited Beijing, Jinan, Chongqing, Shanghai and in my opinion one of the most beloved town that I 've ever seen - a small town in the mountains called Bailu. This town was recently destroyed by the terrible earthquake, but the town were built up.

Although I visited China for the third time, there is something new and exciting for me every time. This time, I really liked Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Center. I know that giant pandas are rare and endangered animals, and it was heartwarming to walk in a place where they have the best possible environment for rearing and breeding.

I enjoyed singing with World Peace Choir. Gerald Wirth, who worked with us, is a very nice, friendly and regardful man. He knows how to communicate with the choir, the audience and with local people. And he was doing it always warmly. It was powerful and educational to work with him, because he took us as musicians and he taught us how to sing better and how to be an integrated choir. The stages where we had our concerts were great and proud halls, beautiful monastery and other various stages, for example, the stage in Beijing Xiedao Resort. I really liked the workshops, where I saw how Gerald Wirth was working with local choirs. In these workshops we met friendly local children.

World Peace Choir gave me an opportunity to learn about Chinese culture and people. Such kind event should take place everywhere in the world, so we can help bring peace to the world. I hope that such concert tours will continue, because singing helps to improve the future.

Carmen Sibbul:

I enjoyed the scenery and sightseeing of China and panda were very beautiful. The Great Wall of China was very impressive. Chinese food was very different compared to the Estonian food. My favorite food was watermelon, because the local food was often too spicy for me. People from the other countries were nice and funny, I found there a lot of friends. And the fake market place was very interesting and cheap. The flight to China lasted a very long time, but it was okey and I am very happy after a nice trip.

Grete Heinsaar:

I am very happy that I was able to take part in the concert tour. I met so many young people from a range of countries. We were able to take part in rehearsals and perform in concerts. It was a great experience.

I saw a lot of things during the interesting excursions.

I liked China very much. The Great Wall was one place we went. It was amazingly beautiful. Also eating with chopsticks was a new experience for me. At first it was a bit hard, but I got used to it. All the Chinese choirs we met sang very well. My favorite thing about this trip to China was that we got to see Pandas, because I have never seen them before.

The Chinese people are very generous and friendly. I definitely want to go back there.

China is amazing!

Liis-Beth Kink:

I really liked this trip to China. I got there a lot of new friends and I got a very good chance to practise my English. I liked that we were all like a one family and we all got along well. I really liked our shared bus trips, because they were always very cheerful and funny. I really hope, that those friends who I got there are going to stay my friends forever.
