The 11^th World Peace Choral Festival welcomes you!

The global pandemics with COVID-19 has been bringing an unprecedented impact worldwide. While trade, culture and community activities are restricted, various music and artistic events have been held online, becoming an important form of encouraging and connecting people: Balcony concerts, choral singing on cloud, online performances, etc. All these activities and forms have been showing the power of music to encourage people and connect the world in this difficult time.

To continue this meaningful form of online music activities and to exhibit the talents and achievement of the choirs around the world, the World Peace Choral Festival is now ready to go online!

A series of cloud events will give opportunities for the choirs to join in, e.g. the cloud opening ceremony on the May 1^st 2021, the peace concerts on cloud, the online choral competition, the prize award ceremony etc. All these will happen online in May 2021. While the online events will be held in May 2021, the events of The World Peace Choral Festival in its traditional form have been planned for July 22nd till 25th in Vienna. Choirs having the chance to come to Vienna will participate at events on different historical and grandiose stages, like: opening ceremony at the St. Stephen’s Cathedral which is the symbol of city Vienna, workshops given by the experts from the Vienna Boys Choir and other famous Austrian choral conductors, Voices for Peace Concerts around the city, choral competition in front of the international jury, the closing Gala Concert at the famous Golden Hall of Musikverein where the famous New Year’s Concert of the famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is broadcasted each year to the world.

"Coming together to sing, singing for a better future"! The World Peace Choral Festival was born in 2010 and becomes one of the most important choral events in the world. It aims to provide a platform for the young generation as well as enthusiastic adult choirs of different countries to perform, to learn, to compete, to communicate and to create better intercultural understanding. The World Peace Choral Festival is supported by the Austrian federal government authorities, the city government of Vienna, the Vienna Boys Choir, United Nations Headquarters in Vienna, NGOs, enterprises and a series of personalities.

During past years, choirs from Armenia, Austria (under them also the famous Vienna Boys Choir), Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China (Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan), Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Georgia, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, USA etc. have participated at the festival and brought beautiful memories and new friendships back home.
