Calypso Choir
Since taking part in the "Great Chance for Choirs", the choir has discovered its passion
for choir travel. In the last four years, they have been able to complete more than a
dozen trips to Vienna, Upper Austria, Salzburg, the Czech Republic and Germany. In
2018, the choir was given the honorary task of representing Vorarlberg at the Austrian
Children's Choir Festival in Salzburg. In the summer of 2019, the Calypso singers took
part in the World Peace Choral Festival in Vienna together with the Chornetto choir - as
the only Austrian representatives other than the Vienna Boys' Choir.
Singing along with Frechdax and Calypso was and is free. This is only possible thanks to a
very high level of commitment; not only on the part of the choir singers and the choir
director, but also on the part of the parents. The enthusiasm of the children, the
committed team and the great support of the parents are the secret recipe for the
extraordinary success.
By singing together, children are given experiences that they would otherwise find
difficult to gain. It is hardly surprising that many singers have been singing with the two
choirs for a large part of their lives. The children and young people learn that everyone is
important here. Over the years, a close-knit choir family has developed. Enthusiasm and
perseverance, commitment and passion can grow and mature.
